Fins and Wings: A Continuum Workshop
Fins and Wings: A Continuum Workshop
Fins and Wings:
a Continuum Workshop
I so enjoyed the mingling of participants from intro sessions, theme-based explorations and the continuum practice group during “The Human Face” workshop in the fall. This season I’m offering another workshop, “Fins and Wings,” free of charge to all who have been involved in classes through Madrona Holistic Arts over the years. This workshop will be posted on my website only — to reserve a spot please follow the link below which will take you to the event page on my website.
In this gathering we’ll revisit “The Peace Dive,” a timeless gift from Emilie - “an offering to all of life.” In this sequence Emilie introduces the fins and wings of the body - invitations to swim and to soar, leading into an embodied experience of the elements of water and space. In our inquiry we’ll also explore the concept of species inclusiveness through breath and movement. As always, there will be opportunities for dialogue and time to dive together.
Format: Delivered via live Zoom. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for free movement, and have a yoga mat and a couple of blankets handy. To support the creation of a 'container' for a Continuum practice please join the call from a quiet area where you can settle into a sacred space. Classes are generally small and interactive.
“To feel abandoned is to deny the intimacy of your surroundings. Surely, even you, at times, have felt the grand array; the swelling presence, the chorus, crowding out our solo voice.” David Whyte
